论尼尼微的默示，就是伊勒歌斯人那鸿所得的异象。

那鸿书 1:2 · Nahum 1:2
耶和华是忌邪施报的 上帝。 耶和华施报大有忿怒； 耶和华向他的敌人施报，向他的仇敌怀怒。
God [is] jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and [is] furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth [wrath] for his enemies.
那鸿书 1:3 · Nahum 1:3
耶和华不轻易发怒，大有能力，必不以恶人为无罪； 耶和华乘旋风和暴风而来，云彩为他脚下的尘土。
The LORD [is] slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit [the wicked]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds [are] the dust of his feet.
那鸿书 1:4 · Nahum 1:4
他斥责海，使海乾了，使一切江河乾涸。巴珊和迦密的树林衰残；黎巴嫩的花也衰残了。
He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.

大山因他震动，小山也都熔化，大地在他面前焚烧，世界和住在其间的也都如此。
The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
那鸿书 1:6 · Nahum 1:6
他发忿恨，谁能立得住呢？他发烈怒，谁能当得起呢？他的烈怒如火倾倒；磐石因他倾下。
Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
那鸿书 1:7 · Nahum 1:7
耶和华本为善，在患难的日子为人的保障，并且认得那些投靠他的人。
The LORD [is] good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
那鸿书 1:8 · Nahum 1:8
但他必以涨溢的洪水淹没尼尼微，黑暗必追赶仇敌。
But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
那鸿书 1:9 · Nahum 1:9
尼尼微人哪，设何谋攻击 耶和华呢？他必将你们灭绝净尽；灾难不再兴起。
What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
那鸿书 1:10 · Nahum 1:10
你们像丛杂的荆棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯乾的碎稭全然吞灭。
For while [they be] folden together [as] thorns, and while they are drunken [as] drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

有一人从你那里出来，图谋邪恶，设恶计攻击 耶和华。
There is [one] come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.
那鸿书 1:12 · Nahum 1:12
耶和华如此说：尼尼微虽然势力充足，人数繁多，他经过的时候，还是必被剪除。犹大啊，我虽然使你受苦，却不再使你受苦。
Thus saith the LORD; Though [they be] quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
那鸿书 1:13 · Nahum 1:13
现在我必从你颈项上折断他的轭，扭开他的绳索。
For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
那鸿书 1:14 · Nahum 1:14
耶和华已经出令，指着你说，你名下的人必不留後；我必从你众神的庙中除灭雕刻的像和铸造的像；我必因你鄙陋，使你归於坟墓。
And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, [that] no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
那鸿书 1:15 · Nahum 1:15
看哪。有报好信传平安之人的脚登山，说：犹大啊，可以守你的圣节，还你所许的愿吧。因为那恶人不再从你中间经过，他已剪除净尽了。
Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
