这时，有无数的人聚集，甚至彼此践踏，耶稣开讲，先对他的门徒说：「你们要防备法利赛人的酵，就是伪善。
In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
掩盖的事没有不露出来的；隐藏的事，也没有不被人知道的。
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
因此，你们在暗中所说的，将要在明处被人听见；你们在内室附耳所说的，将要在房上被人宣扬。」
Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
「我的朋友，我对你们说：『那杀身体以後不能再作甚麽的，不要怕他们。』
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
只是我要先警戒你们当怕的是谁：当怕那杀了以後又有权柄丢在地狱里的；我实在告诉你们：『正要怕他。』
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
五个麻雀不是卖二分银子，但在 上帝面前，一个也不忘记吗？
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
然而，就是你们的头发，也都被数过了。所以，不要惧怕。你们比许多麻雀还贵重。」
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
「我又告诉你们：『凡在人面前认我的， 人子在 上帝的天使面前也必认他；
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
唯独在人面前不认我的，在 上帝的天使面前也必不认他。』
But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
凡说话干犯 人子的，还可得饶恕；唯独亵渎 圣灵的，总不得饶恕。
And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
人带你们到会堂，并官长和有权柄的人面前，不要思虑怎麽分诉，说甚麽话；
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and [unto] magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
因为正在那时候， 圣灵要指教你们当说的话。」
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
众人中有一个人对耶稣说：「 夫子，请你告诉我的兄长，叫他和我分开家业。」
And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
耶稣对他说：「你这个人，谁立我作你们断事的官，或给你们作分家业的呢？」
And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
於是耶稣对众人说：「务要谨慎，防备贪心；因为人的生命不在乎家道丰富。」
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
他就用比喻对他们说：「有一个财主田产丰盛；
And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
自己心里思想说：『我的出产没有地方收藏，怎麽办呢？』
And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
他说：『我要这麽办：要把我的仓房拆了，另盖更大的；在那里我好收藏我一切的出产和财物。
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
然後我要对我的元魂说：元魂哪，你有许多财物积存，可作多年的费用；你只管安安逸逸的吃喝快乐吧。』
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, [and] be merry.
上帝却对他说：『你这无知的人哪，这夜必要你的元魂；你所预备的要归谁呢？』
But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
凡为自己积财，在 上帝面前却不富足的，也是这样。」
So [is] he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
耶稣又对他的门徒说：「所以我告诉你们：『不要为生命忧虑吃甚麽；也不要为身体忧虑穿甚麽。
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
生命甚於饮食，身体甚於衣服。』
The life is more than meat, and the body [is more] than raiment.
你想乌鸦。乌鸦本不种也不收；又没有仓又没有库； 上帝尚且养活它们。你们比飞鸟是何等的贵重呢？
Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
你们那一个能用思虑使身量多加一肘呢？
And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
这最小的事，你们尚且不能作，为甚麽还忧虑其馀的事呢？
If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
你想百合花怎麽长起来：它们也不劳苦，也不纺线；然而我告诉你们，就是所罗门极荣华的时候，他所穿戴的，还不如这些花的一朵呢。
Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
你们这小信的人哪，若是野地里的草今天还在，明天就丢在炉里， 上帝还给它这样的妆饰；何况妆饰你们呢？
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more [will he clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
你们不要求吃甚麽，或喝甚麽，也不要挂心。
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
这些都是世上列国所求的；们必须用这些东西，你们的 父是知道的。
For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
你们只要求 上帝的国；这些东西都必加给你们了。
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
你们这小群，不要惧怕；因为你们的 父乐意把国赐给你们。
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
你们要变卖所有的賙济人，为自己预备永不坏的口袋，用不尽的财宝在诸天，就是贼不能近丶虫不能蛀的地方。
Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
因为，你们的财宝在哪里，你们的心也在那里。」
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
「你们腰间要束上带，你们的光也要燃着；
Let your loins be girded about, and [your] lights burning;
你们自己好像仆人等候主人从婚筵上回来；他来到，叩门，就立刻给他开门。
And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
主人来了，看见仆人警醒，那仆人就有福了；我实在告诉你们，主人必自己束上带，叫他们坐席，进前伺候他们。
Blessed [are] those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
若是他第二更来，或是第三更来，看见仆人这样，那仆人就有福了。
And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find [them] so, blessed are those servants.
家主若知道贼甚麽时候要来，就必警醒，不容贼挖透房屋，这是你们所知道的。
And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
所以你们也要预备；因为你们想不到的时候， 人子就来了。」
Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
那时，彼得对他说：「 主啊，你这比喻是为我们说的呢？还是为众人呢？」
Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
主说：「谁是那忠心有智慧的管家，他主人派他管理主人家里的人，按时分粮给他们呢？
And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom [his] lord shall make ruler over his household, to give [them their] portion of meat in due season?
他的主人来到，看见仆人这样行，那仆人就有福了。
Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
我实在告诉你们，主人要派他管理一切所有的。
Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
但那仆人若心里说：『我的主人必来得迟；』就动手打仆人和使女，并且吃喝醉酒；
But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
在他不昐望他的日子，不知不觉的时辰，那仆人的主人要来，把他腰斩，又要定他和不信的人同罪。
The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
那仆人知道他主人的意思，自己却不预备，又不顺他的意思行，必多受责打。
And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes].
唯有那不知道的，犯了当受责打的事，必少受责打。因为多给谁，就向谁多取；多托谁，就向谁多要。」
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
「我来要把火降在地上；倘若已经着起来，这是我何其愿意的呢？
I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
但我有当受的浸还没有成就；我是何等的迫切呢。
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
你们以为我来，是叫地上太平吗？我告诉你们：『不是；乃是叫人纷争。
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
从今以後，一家五个人将要纷争，三个人和两个人相争，两个人和三个人相争。
For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
父亲和儿子相争，儿子和父亲相争；母亲和女儿相争，女儿和母亲相争；婆婆和媳妇相争，媳妇和婆婆相争。』」
The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
耶稣又对百姓说：「你们一看见云彩自西边起，就说：『要下一阵雨；』果然就有。
And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
你们看见起了南风，就说：『将要炎热；』也就有了。
And when [ye see] the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
你们这些伪善之人，你们知道分辨天地的气色，怎麽不知道分辨这时候呢？」
[Ye] hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?
「你们又为何不自己审量甚麽是合理的呢？
Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
你同告你的对头去见官，当趁你还在路上，务要尽力的脱离他；恐怕他拉你到官面前，官将你交付差役，差役把你下在监里。
When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, [as thou art] in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.
我告诉你，你若有半文钱没有还清，你不可离开那里去 。」
I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
