有一个法利赛人，名叫尼哥德慕，是犹太人的官；
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

这人夜里来见耶稣，对他说：「拉比，我们知道你是由 上帝那里来作教师的；因为你所行的这些神迹，若没有 上帝同在，无人能行。」
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

耶稣回答他说：「我实实在在的告诉你：『人若不重生，就不能见 上帝的国。』」
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
约翰福音 3:4 · John 3:4
尼哥德慕对他说：「人已经老了，如何能重生呢？岂能再进母腹生出来吗？」
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

耶稣回答说：「我实实在在的告诉你：『人若不是从水和 灵生的，就不能进 上帝的国。』
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
约翰福音 3:6 · John 3:6
从肉身生的就是肉身；从 灵生的就是灵。
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
约翰福音 3:7 · John 3:7
我对你说：『你们必须重生。』你不要以为希奇。
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

风随着意思吹，你听见风的响声，却道不出从那里来，往那里去；凡从 灵生的，也是如此。」
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

尼哥德慕回答他说：「怎能有这些事呢？」
Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

耶稣回答他说：「你是以色列的夫子，还不晓得这些事吗？
Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

我实实在在的告诉你：『我们所说的是我们知道的，我们所见证的是我们见过的；你们却不领受我们的见证。』
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

我对你们说地上的事，你们尚且不信，若说天上的事，如何能信呢？
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things?

除了从天降下仍旧在天的 人子，没有人升过天。
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.
约翰福音 3:14 · John 3:14
摩西在旷野怎样举蛇， 人子也必照样被举起来；
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
约翰福音 3:15 · John 3:15
叫一切信他的，不至灭亡，反得永生。」
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
约翰福音 3:16 · John 3:16
「 上帝爱世人，甚至将他的独生 子赐给他们，叫一切信他的，不至灭亡，反得永生。
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
约翰福音 3:17 · John 3:17
因为 上帝差他的 儿子降世，不是要定世人的罪；乃是要叫世人因他得救。
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
约翰福音 3:18 · John 3:18
信他的人，不被定罪；不信的人，罪却已经定了，因为他不信 上帝独生 子的名。
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
约翰福音 3:19 · John 3:19
光来到世间，世人因自己的行为是恶的，不爱光，倒爱黑暗，定他们的罪就是在此。
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
约翰福音 3:20 · John 3:20
凡作恶的便恨光，也不来就光，恐怕他的行为受责备。
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
约翰福音 3:21 · John 3:21
但行真理的必来就光，要显明他所行的是靠 上帝而行。」
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
约翰福音 3:22 · John 3:22
这些事以後，耶稣和他门徒到了犹太地；他在那里与他们同住，施浸。
After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

约翰在靠近撒冷的哀嫩也施浸，因为那里水多；众人都去受浸。
And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

这是因约翰还没有下在监里。
For John was not yet cast into prison.

那时，约翰有好些门徒和犹太人辩论洁净的礼。
Then there arose a question between [some] of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

他们就来见约翰，对他说：「拉比，从前同你在约旦河外丶你所见证的那位，现在施浸，众人都往他那里去了。」
And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all [men] come to him.
约翰福音 3:27 · John 3:27
约翰回答说：「若不是从天上赐的，人就不能得甚麽。
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
约翰福音 3:28 · John 3:28
我曾说：『我不是 基督，乃是奉差遣在他前面的。』你们自己可以给我作见证。
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
约翰福音 3:29 · John 3:29
娶新妇的就是新郎；新郎的朋友倒站着，听见新郎的声音就甚喜乐；故此，我这喜乐满足了。
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

他必兴旺，然而我必衰微。」
He must increase, but I [must] decrease.
约翰福音 3:31 · John 3:31
「从天上来的是在一切之上；从地上来的是属乎地，他所说的也是属乎地；从天上来的是在一切之上。
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
约翰福音 3:32 · John 3:32
他将所见所闻的见证出来；只是没有人领受他的见证。
And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
约翰福音 3:33 · John 3:33
那领受他见证的，就印证 上帝是真的。
He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
约翰福音 3:34 · John 3:34
上帝所差来的就说 上帝的话；因为 上帝赐 灵给他是没有限量的。
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure [unto him].
约翰福音 3:35 · John 3:35
父爱 子，已将凡事交在他手里。
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
约翰福音 3:36 · John 3:36
信 子的人有永生。不信 子的人不得见永生； 上帝的震怒常在他身上。」
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
