耶和华对我说：「你取一大书卷，拿人所用的笔写在卷中，论到玛黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罢斯。
Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

我用了忠信的见证人，祭司乌利亚和耶比利家的儿子撒迦利亚记录这事。
And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.

我又与女先知同室；她就怀孕，生了一子。 耶和华就对我说：「给他起名叫玛黑珥．沙拉勒．哈施．罢斯。
And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
以赛亚书 8:4 · Isaiah 8:4
因为在这小孩子将要晓得叫父叫母之先，大马士革的财宝和撒玛利亚的掳物必在亚述王面前夺了去。
For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.

「这百姓既不肯受西罗亚缓流的水，喜悦利汛和利玛利的儿子；
Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;
以赛亚书 8:7 · Isaiah 8:7
因此，看哪， 主使河中的水冲没他们，这水既猛且多，就是亚述王和他所有的威势；他必涨过他一切的水道，漫过他一切的岸；
Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, [even] the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:

他必经过犹大；他必泛滥而过，直涨到颈项；以马内利啊，他展开翅膀，遍满你的地。」
And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach [even] to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

列国的人民哪，任凭你们连合，必被打碎；远方的众人哪，你们当侧耳而听。任凭你们束起腰来，必被打碎；你们束起腰来，必被打碎。
Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.
以赛亚书 8:10 · Isaiah 8:10
任凭你们同谋，必归无有；任凭你们言定，终不成立。因为 上帝与我们同在。
Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God [is] with us.

耶和华以大能的手，指教我不可行这百姓所行的道，对我这样说：
For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,

「这百姓说结盟，你们不要说结盟；他们所怕的，你们不要畏惧，也不要害怕。
Say ye not, A confederacy, to all [them to] whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
以赛亚书 8:13 · Isaiah 8:13
当尊大军之 耶和华为圣；以他为你们所当怕的，所当畏惧的。
Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and [let] him [be] your fear, and [let] him [be] your dread.
以赛亚书 8:14 · Isaiah 8:14
他必作为圣所；却向以色列两家作绊脚的石头，跌人的磐石，向耶路撒冷的居民作为圈套和网罗。
And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

他们中间必有多人绊脚跌倒，而且跌碎，并陷入网罗，被缠住。」
And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
以赛亚书 8:16 · Isaiah 8:16
你要卷起法度，在我门徒中间封住律法。
Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

我要等候那掩面不顾雅各家的 耶和华，我也要仰望他。
And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
以赛亚书 8:18 · Isaiah 8:18
看哪，我与 耶和华所给我的儿女，就是从住在锡安山大军之 耶和华来丶在以色列中作为预兆和奇迹的。
Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
以赛亚书 8:19 · Isaiah 8:19
他们对你们说：「当求问那些有灵使的和行巫术的，就是声音吱吱，言语喃喃的的。」百姓不当寻问自己的 上帝吗？岂可为活人寻问死人呢？
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
以赛亚书 8:20 · Isaiah 8:20
人当以律法和法度为标准；他们所说的，若不与此话相符，是因为他们里头没有光。
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.
以赛亚书 8:21 · Isaiah 8:21
他们必经过这地，遭艰困，受饥饿；他们饥饿的时候，必心中焦躁，咒骂自己的君王和自己的 上帝，仰观上望。
And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
以赛亚书 8:22 · Isaiah 8:22
他们必俯察下地；不料，尽是艰难丶黑暗，和幽暗的痛苦；他们必被赶入黑暗中去。
And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and [they shall be] driven to darkness.
